The buyers at Peridot have been eyeing the Mizuki collection for a while. The sleek, monochromatic styles are edgy and sophisticated -- the look is strong and impressive. With black lava beads, diamond crescent moons and slate-colored suede necklaces, the pieces are chic yet understated enough to rest naturally on the body.
Among the hundreds of designers at the ENK show in New York, Mizuki's booth drew us in like a magnet. Her fine art background (she studied sculpture at SVA), downtown Soho style and Japanese heritage are brought to life with her powerful Fall line.
Look for the new collection at Peridot this October.
